Motorola GTX 800Mhz Mobile

Post by Max »

Hi
Is there a way when programming a Motorola GTX 800Mhz mobile trunking radio to *Inhibit* the transmit.
I know with a Spectra ,in the RSS there is an option for *Transmit Inhibit* that you can enable so the radio will not TX.
Thanks

I don't have much experience with GTX Trunking radios, but I am going to assume they are similar to trunking Maxtracs.

A local shop in Toronto programs the RID to 70000 and clips the TX line from the board to the PA. This does a pretty good job of making sure it won't TX, and making the RID 70000 will make sure a trunking system won't recognize it anyway.

Aside from that, I don't think there is a TX Inhibit flag such as the "99" Spectra Lab has.
