12.5 Problem with Astro Saber III

Post by KE4NYVJR »

I have a Astro Saber III with IMBE and a 1 Meg vocoder. When I received it, it only had 8 conventional channels programmed, all wide band (25KHz). I programmed in about 4 or 5 narrow channels in Astro and the radio programmed fine. I went in later to add 8 more narrow channels and now I get a "This radio does not support 12.5 channels, please upgrade firmware." I know damn well it does support them. What I was able to do, was trick a few channels with frequencies that were only three digits after the decimal, such as 155.030. But if that channel was 155.2125 it fails. The first ones I added were all 4 digits long such as .2125.

Any idea why one zone accepted the narrow channels and now I cannot add anymore?
