I have a question concerning installation of mobile antennas. The volunteer fire department that I am a member of utilizes Motorola Radius Lowband and Motorola Maratac VHF MObile Radios'sin all of the apparatus. Also, they have Pyramid SVR-200V attached to them. The department in in the process of ordering a new engine which will get all of the above radio equipment with the possibility of the addition of a UHF CDM1250 and another Pyramid SVR-200V. What I am looking for is a system that will allow all of the VHF antennas for the Pyramid Repeaters into one, if possible so that there is not seperation issues and so forth.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Re: Mobile Antenna(s) Question
In a simple answer, it is not practicle. More than likely, your using multiple channel radios that spread over a range of bandwidth. Same band combing is not very practicle under these conditions.
One option could be to combine UHF and VHF into the same antenna with a band pass filter such as Austin Antenna can supply. This way the number of antennas is reduced. This allows you to connect both a VHF and the UHF radio through the filter unit to a common antenna. You do have a power limit on the transmitter power from each radio though. Also bear in mind that you need a dual band antenna installed on the roof.
