Hello. I have a Motorola Radius M10 that I plan on setting up for a local 2m repeater. I notice that under settings/alignment, I can change power settings. Which setting/number cooresponds to around ~5 Watts? Does anyone have a list for these settings?
Also, when I use the shift key to program the repeater frequency (144.69 tx 145.29 rx 107.2) It tells me that the radio may need to be re-aligned due to it being out-of-band (Bandsplit is 146-174) Will I be okay at those freq's?
Thanks

- What radios do you own?: Way too many to list, over 50
you should invest in a watt meter if you are going to make any adjustments. plus its a good tool to have.
as far as excessive heat i have run a 45 watt maxtrac at 5 watts for 10 min constant in to a service monitor and did not have any heat problems. the heat sink was warm to the touch but by far with in reason. and thats the same radio i use to drive a 100W TPL PA on a 460 MHZ repeater thats been in service for over a year.
