Short Spectra remote cable?

I'm wondering what the shortest remote mount cable is you can get for the Spectra. I'm looking at getting a 9 series head, but it would be mounted only about a foot or 2 from the radio. It would be used in a base station arrangement.

I've never seen or heard of one shorter than 17 feet, but there have been people who have cut one down to the size they wanted. A friend of mine wanted a shorter one, and I had one that was damaged half way down the cable, so he just cut it down to the lengh he wanted, and it works great. There is a info page on that even on either Mike B's site or Batlabs.

The motorcycle control cable is only about 6 feet or so...but you are limited to using any of the control heads except the A9 becuase of the type of connector used to connect the cable to the control head. The back housing of the control head is diffrent than the normal ones you see everyday.
