Trying to share an antenna between an amplified charger (minitor 2) and a scanner. When doing this however we have a problem with one of the channels on the scanner. 154.430 is picking up a pulse on the scanner and plays bursts of static. It doesn't happen on any othe frequencies though. The pager is a two channel pager. channel one is 154.430 (the same having the issue) and channel two is 154.355. If we remove the pager from the charger the problem goes away.
Other than using a different antenna is there a way to isolate the pulse from the charger to prevent the static? Both items are in side the building and we are trying to use an external antenna located on the roof since it won't pick up much if we don't.
Thanks in advance.

good question
That's a good question but I don't know the answer. The pager is used to trip the warning system inside the firehouse. If we remove the pager for the charger the issue goes away. I'll get with someone at the station and have them try it just to see if it goes away though.
How are you connecting 1 antenna to both, are you using a "T" ?
I have done this a few times using a Cable TV splitter, it does not provide total isolation of the 2 outputs but may provide enough to make your setup usable. Just remember it has to be receive only, try to transmit even once and you will fry the other receiver.
