Help with MTS 2000 F01/93

Post by Max »

Hi
I have a MTS 2000 Flashport model # H01UCD6PW1BN 800Mhz with top Display.
I did not read about Toolproofing till it was to late.
I use LAB and now has the F01/93
How can i fix this probelem?
This belongs to a customer,i hope i'm not stuck having to replace the radio.
I know,i should not have used LAB to start with.
Thanks
Max

If you saved a packed s-record of the radio before you toolproofed it, you can write it back to the radio & it should clear the problem...otherwise you're kinda out of luck.

What radios do you own?: XTS2500, XTS5000, and MTS2000

nope, only an S-record from the exact radio read BEFORE it was toolproofed will revive it. Or a trip to the Motorola depot and about 300 bucks...

Thanks for all your input.
I am totally at fault for not looking at the RSS running at the time was not Lab.
I live in Canada and was wondering if it is worth my while to send the radio into Moto,i know what the BIG questions will be,perhaps i bought it that way from ebay?
So far the costs to replace this radio will be around $500.00 CAN ,based on prices off ebay.
Should i send it directly to the US or try and go though a Moto dealer in Canada.
Thanks

Don't know what MTSX controllers are going for these days but that would be an alternative to sending the radio in.
