what do all the dip switchies do on the board inside the consolette

The board inside the Consolette is the Audio Interface Board. The optional TRC board also has two additional DIP switch packages and two jumpers.

Looking at the manual, the DIP switches set impedance, enable/disable options such as battery revert, control head power button, local desk mic, tone table selections, impedance, 2/4 wire, etc.

can you give me a brakedown of the switches and their uses? I'm running into a similar problem, but would like to know what all the switches go to... Thanks, Ben N2ROQ

Audio Interface Board, S101:

1 On power button disabled
2 not used
3 On Emer active high
4 On 600 Ohm Z, Off 900 Ohm
5 On 900 Ohm Z, Off 600 Ohm
6 On no local desk mic
7 On Digitial Remote option present
8 not used


TRC, S100:

1 Off ASTRO
2 On local mic audio on wireline
2 On TRC, Off SMP Control
4 On AGC disabled
5-8 On Selects Tone Table 1 thru 4 respectively

TRC, S101:

1-6 Same as Audio Interface settings
7 On 2-Wire, Off, 4-wire
8 On 4-Wire, Off 2-Wire


Tone table is:

all off, Standard
#1 on, the rest off, CentraCom II
#2 on, the rest off, No mode sel
#1&2 on, 3&4 off, Mode 1 only
#3 on the rest off, No mode 1
All other configs not supported
