GM300, How to turn down the power

Post by BikerScout »

How do I turn the power down on my GM300? It is putting out around 40 watts right now. I want to turn it down to 30 watts.

When in the RSS, go to tuning, and there is TX Power Settings, open it up and adjust the values while the radio is TX'ing (I beleive it is F6?...it says on the screen anyways) and adjust the values while the radio is on a watt-meter to a dummy load to what you want it to do.

What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's

you also migh want to take note of the value of the original output, so you can put it back later.

I think i may have cooked it. It will not read with RSS. Ran today where it shut down three times due to heat. Now RSS will not read it so I can turn te power down.
