RADIUS R100 REPEATER DPL TO PL

I AM LOOKING FOR INFO ON HOW TO CHANGE A MOTOROLA RADIUS R100 REPEATER FROM DPL TO PL. I NEED TO KNOW IF IT IS A JUMPER OR IS IT A BOARD CHANGE OR WHAT.

Sorry Danial that this question did not get answered sooner.

In short, it can not be done eassally.

Here goes, the uP chip is different having embeded code to do PL decoding. There is a lot of different cap and resistor values in the recever on the command board.

In the Exciter, the same thing basically, the uP chip IS different.

There IS a external PL input point on the exciter command board near the EEPROM marked PL.

A Com-Spec PL encoder/decoder board works well as a retrofit. The DPL is disabled in the RSS in both the RX and TX.

Piece of cake. It should not be hard to find a good used R100 with a blown Power Amp.

Get one and either move the new transmitter and receiver to your radio or move the PA from your radio into the blown out radio. Moving strips is easier!
