Most Desktrac's contain one Maxtrac radio. The Maxtrac may have a weird model number but can be programmed with most Maxtrac RSS.

The Desktrac Repeater contains one full Maxtrac, and a second Maxtrac receiver.

Maxtrac or Radius 16 pin logic board radios will work in the Desktrac. The control front is removed from the radio, and everything plugs in.

The Desktrac is designed as a full base station, control station or repeater and has the AC to 13.6 vDC power supply built in. Some Desktrac's have the battery revert input also. These stations are not rated for full duty cycle, just 1 min. TX, 4 min. RX or standby, about 20%. There is a fan kit for extending the duty cycle to about 40%.
