Is there a way to take apart a ht1000 mic (NMN6193) and replace the bad/worn parts w/ new parts?

What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's

just the ptt button and the cord, the mic itself is sealed permanently.

It WILL open upon application of a 3Lb persuasion tool at correct
point and at a velocity aproximating that of a normal hand swing.
Repairability at that point brings various opinions. Phrawg

They pop open in a vice fairly easily...make sure your face isn't in the way!

No trees were harmed in the posting of this message...however an extraordinarily large number of electrons were horribly inconvenienced.

after they are popped open, do you have to hot glue them back together?

This works for the Visar mic, too....but what do you do with it once it's open? Not much!

What radios do you own?: Way too many to list, over 50

i opened one by prying it open around the edges. i have only done it to one and it opened fairly easy with very little damage. i used crazy glue to close it and you cant tell it was opened unless you look realy close. but as stated above they are sealed units not intended to be opened.
