Just issued an HT1250 LS... Need help..

Post by Terry Linder »

Ok this came with no instructions/operating manual and Ive never laid hands on one of these before... From what I can tell, this thing has 8 zones. The first zone is PD primary (trunking? chirps when PTT keys and shows unit IDs) Second zone has several secondary, tac, training channels.. third has three sheriff office channels.. other zones have interop channels, fire, rescue channels etc. This is a VHF radio.. some channels are trunking and some are conventional I think. The programmable button just under the side PTT button (with raised dot) starts "system scan." It seems that this scans some channels but not all channels. Is there anyway to program a scan list or delete nuisance channels. Also, if anyone has an operation manual or a link to more info..

THANKS!

To program scan lists and nusiance delete, it all depends on however the radio was programmed via software. The radio is capable of doing this, it is just a matter of weather it is enabled or not.

Here is basic information for that line series:

Yes... The other conventional channels are all VHF that were in use prior to this new police trunking system. I think they stayed on VHF so communication with other local agencies could still be done off one radio.

What other motorola radios are compatible with this trunking system (ht1250 ls)

There are some VHF LTR systems here in Texas. The 1250LS comes in VHF too.
