Spectra A5 ?

Post by NCSHP311 »

Can the siren control box and switch panel be used with a dash mount A5 Spectra? Also does moto make a kit to convert the dash mount to a remote mount?

It can be used, but only if the radio is converted into a remote mount, which answers your 2nd question! The brackets to mount a DEK (switch panel) above the control head are hard to come by, though...

I beleive the control head board must be of the newer enhanced style to support dek use as well. Maybe someone with more experience can pipe in on that aspect.

Yep, I believe the board does have to be the enhanced unit, and yep, there's a remote kit, but it's pricey, and can be had cheaper from other sources (here, ebay, etc). Can't remember the alpha part of the P/N but the numerics are 1446A, IIRC. Go to the Batlabs section on Spectras, the part numbers will be there.
curmudgeon.....and I like it.
