Hello,
I've gone to great lengths to do this "just right"...and I still have no sucess.
I found an old DOS 6.2 laptop.( <50 Mhz ) Loaded the software. Made up a cable using Batlabs instructions. (thank you...) I made sure that the caps lock and num lock were activated...but still I get "Device Not Ready" for my error code.
I'm not certain when the repeater was last operational...I believe it was taken out of service still working...
Any suggestions would be appreaciated
Thanks

You might want to verify which COM port the connector on the laptop really is. Sometimes they're COM2 instead of COM1 like you would assume.radioservice wrote:I found an old DOS 6.2 laptop.( <50 Mhz ) Loaded the software. Made up a cable using Batlabs instructions. ....Thank you for your suggestion...I set the comport both ways...Tried COM1 in the software and then COM2 in the software.
I'm using an old thinkpad...is there a way to check which port is used for the com port....
Also, is there a way to check the processor speed? (somewhere in the BIOS)?
Thanks,
Bill
