Moto phasing out Centracom II?

We tried to replace all of the buttons on a two position console, and motorola said they didnt have the buttons availible anymore....

whats the deal?

and some local reps that had them wanted tons of $$$$$$$$$$ for them....

anyone know where I can get these??

Nick, I remember that there is a third party that makes replacement buttons for the Centracoms. The also made custom buttons.

Any idea who it was... I have seen some places around, but they wanted $2000+ for just the buttons...

I seem to remember that there was an advertiser in Mobile Radio Technology magazine that made buttons for Centracom B&L and others to order. I don't have a copy of the mag here at home but I can look Monday. Maybe someone else on here is a subscriber. Ad was in the classified section in the back of the mag...
