More than 8 characters on display?

Hi, i have some MTS2000 and MT2100 radio's, they only have 8 characters for a name to put in, my GP380 has 14 characters.
Is there a way to get MORE then the 8 characters into my radio's?

Assuming they're front display radios, you should be able to change that by going to the display configuration menu.

They can be changed under your radiowide display options.
Channel Text Size and Zone Text Size the combination of both of the above limit you to only 14
