MDC paging problems between astro spectra and analog spectra

I'm working on some equipment here and have never messed with the MDC option beyond emergency stuff.

I'm trying to set it up so I can CALL or PAGE alert between an analog A5 spectra and an Astro Saber II.

I can page the mobile and it reponds. It shows CALL on the screen and shows my ID. It also sends a reply to the Astro and says acknowledged on the Astro's display.

However, it won't work the other way around. I can't get the A5 to page the Astro and have it retun the ack.

Would it have anything to do with the variable MDC ID fields? I have both set with just 0001 in the variable field and each have their own uniquie main ID such as 0437 and 0439.

I don't see why it only works in one direction.

Good luck. Ran into the same problem. I even had problems between Astro Spectras and Astro Sabers...I just got tired of programming/reprogramming that I gave up. PAGE usually worked, but not CALL.
