VHF/UHF Saber Conversion

A few tools that are helpful in this are:
....spanner wrench for removing the nuts on the bottom on the radio.(I happen to use a pair of needlenose pliers of the size to fit into the spanner nut)
....the same or another pair of needle nose pliers for inserting and removing the flex cable connectors.
....phillips screw driver to remove the screws at the battery connect contacts. Don't lose the little flexible spring piece of steel that provides a spring back for the battery lock button.
I also had to swap the clear rubber crystal cover boots as the Saber 1 did not allow room for the flex cable to pass by it.
Actually, all this is pretty staright forward
and simple.
