Spectra "Pre-Hacking" for DES Secure Repeater

Post by RESCUE161 »

Just been doing some pre-hacking on a Spectra.

I have several Spectras to play with, but only two hybrids and carriers.

Does anybody know which pins on the carrier would supply reclocked data on a RX DES signal? I've found a COS on the 24 pin plug on the carrier that will only work while the radio is receiving a secure signal. I found another pin that will only allow a clear signal. I haven't played around with the programming yet, but I think I had this one set up to only unmute if it had the propper DES code.

I found another pin that will do both for COS, but it's only a 2.xx volt change as compared to 4.xx volts on the other two pins. It's no problem on the controller that I'm using, but worth noting anyway.

I'd love to have an audio output that would rx clear and if the right key was sent, the DES signal as well (reclocked of course).

Anybody have any ideas?

Scott,

I have been trying to see what I can find since I saw your request in the other thread, you are looking for the pins off of the hybrid card right?

Yes, unless I can get reclocked DES data off of any other spot.

Thank you!
