Centracom Console Paging Question

Post by scbe9abx »

I have a Motorola Centracom Series II CRT Console. I have a question for anyone who could answer. When selecting 2 different Paging Codes (2 Tone) and each page is steered to a different channel is there any way to keep them from paging simultaneously. For example I select FIRE12 and FIRE23 then hit send page. Both the Pages are steered to the correct channels and go out simultaneously. And this is the normal correct operation for this console but if possible I would like them to be stacked and go out one after the other.

Anyone have any Ideas??????

Your support organization can change this for you on a per operator basis using the RVN4029 Centracom Series II Plus RSS.

RF Cross Mute

I think, and it's been a long time, that if you tell the console that they are on the same RF channel, but different transmitters, ie: RF CrossMute, that it will stack them one after the other.

Does anyone else remember?

Crossmute probably won't fix the problem but cross-busy probably will. However, if you cross-busy the channels, you cannot patch them or simul-select them.

Sequential vs. simultaneous paging is a choice in the RSS Miscellaneous: Operator Position Parameters screen and is explained in section 9.3 of the programmer manual.
