Computer and RSS/CPS Requirements

Post by DESENCRYPTED »

Hello all
It's been quite awhile since I have been on here but I'm getting back into the game and have a few questions. Knowing that Monty passed away I need to find someone who can recommend and set up a computer that will program my Sabers. Monty sold me the cables, RIB and everything else I needed. I have the software license but want to get the setup before I splurge. Also, I am considering purchasing either a Spectra or MCS2000. Looking at the Motorola website it appears that the Spectra RSS is not currently available and the MCS2000 is not even listed. What is current for the MCS? I also noticed that they have restricted software licenses. What do they cover? Anyway, I basically want to get set up with a computer for the radios and software that I have mentioned. Thanks
Steve

What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's

you will need to use the MTSX software for the mcs2000. the newest I think is 1.13 and it does both mts & mcs and will run on anything from 98 to xp.

I never check PM's so don't bother, just email me.
I won't reply to a hotmail, gmail, aol or any other generic free address, if you want me to reply use a real address.
STOP ASKING ME FOR SOFTWARE OR FIRMWARE, I JUST FORWARD ALL OF THE REQUESTS TO THE MODERATORS

No, the MCS2000 & MTS2000 CPS are different packages...although you can order a "double pack" which contains both CD's. It is not the MTSX package for the MCS2000, that is for MTX8000/838/9000/MTS2000 portables.

The part# for the MCS2000 CPS is RVN4175...if you wish to order the "double pack" and get the MTS2000 CPS as well, the part# is RVN4177.

The Spectra DOS RSS is still available, part# RVN4001, latest version is 6.00.05.
No trees were harmed in the posting of this message...however an extraordinarily large number of electrons were horribly inconvenienced.
