MTS2000 reverts to Z1/C1 when scanning? Why?
I have an MTS2000 that for some reason reverts to Zone 1/Channel 1 when ever there is traffic on that channel when the radio is in scan mode. I have looked over the codeplug from top to bottom looking to see if I had selected a priority option somewhere within the codeplug, but as far as I can tell, there are no priority options within the codeplug that have been selected.
The HOME MODE SELECTION option under the Radio Wide tab has been selected. Could this be the culprit???
If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Do you mean when you turn the scan off, it reverts to that channel? Or does it stay on that channel in scan mode once it picks up traffic, and then remains there?

No. It's as if Z1/C1 is set as a priority channel. If I tune the radio to a specific channel within antoher zone, and do not enable scan, it will stay on that channel indefinately.
Now, If I enable the scan mode in ANY zone, the radio will revert back to Z1/C1 anytime there is any traffic present. Once the traffic stops, it goes back to what ever zone/channel I was scanning/listening to.
I have no idea why. I looked over the codeplug settings, but as far as I can tell, there are no priority options selected. With the exception of the HOME MODE SELECTION under the Radio Wide tab within the CPS program. Maybe this could be culprit?
I'm kinda stumped.
Any ideas?

- What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's
i'll look thru the codeplug for you if you want but if it's happening how you describe it, you have that set as a priority and don't know it. that's the only way that could happen.

I'm still not clear on what you're saying, as it sounds like normal scanning the way you're describing it...so, if for instance you're listening to active traffic on channel "10"...it will still go to Z1/C1 if traffic happens to come on there? Are we talking conventional channels, or trunking talkgroups?
The "home" channel setting should only affect the "home" button operation...so I can't see it causing any issues.
