I searched, but failed to find info. on my situation. I have two HT1250s, both are configured on a certain channel to use MDC as Tx & Rx signalling. Both radios are configured to broadcast thier IDs on post, and I can hear the ID being transmitted at the end of the transmission... But I do not have the ID coming up on the screen of my radio.
My radio was once a limited keypad 1250, but someone upgraded it to a full keypad. It appears to work in all other respects normally. I do have it set to decode MDC in settings. Am I missing something to be able to see the MDC IDs?
Thanks

MDC config for HT1250
Ahhhh... I see the screw up fairy has visited us again...
Make sure and see, if, you have more than 1 MDC System Programmed, make sure the MDC System/Personality with decode is set as the RX under signalling configurations, as you must enable MDC under Signalling as RX as well for this to work. If both radios are the same model number still (after you did the keypad mod to it), try cloning the codeplug and see if that works. If it does, just change whatever needs to be done in the cloned radio and you're good to go.
IDs are different between radios... Thanks for the replies, I will go back over my config, and see if I overlooked something. One issue is that I have two MDCs, I only need one, so I will delete one.
DO you need to have MDC on Tx AND Rx to decode MDC IDs?

I have to disagree.
You do not have to have an MDC transmit system enabled in order to decode received IDs.
Likewise, you can have TX MDC enabled, but have an alternate (or no) system selected for RX. For example, you can have an MDC PTT ID on a channel with a QCII receive system for paging.
Having them separately selectable is the whole point.
