Post by skipfd8 »

I have a mts 2000 800 trunk i had gotten off of ebay. when i read the radio with rss the radio has been inhibited. I still programmed my info into the radio but it still just does the self check and then turns back off. Any one know how i can get this radio to work for my stuff or is it just a paper weight now? Thanks

Is it a flashport radio?

Is it giving off a fail 01/93 code?

What software version are you using?

What's the model#?

The radio has been inhibited because it says so when i read the radio in the rss. The model # H01UCH6PW1BN. Th e flash code is0000080000002. When you turn the radio on it self tests and the screen goes blank.

Normally, you would "reset" it by programming in a saved codeplug from before it was inhibited. Since you don't have that luxury, you're going to have to find another codeplug with the exact same model & flashcode, and clone it in.

I assume you're using CPS version 1.13.00? It states in the "readme" file that once a radio has been written with that version CPS, it will no longer be able to be uninhibited by cloning an uninhibited codeplug.

I don't know if using an earlier version of CPS, or possibly even DOS RSS to do the cloning, would clear it at this point, but it's about all you can try.
