T3011DX vs. KVL 3000; encryption modules

Hello,

now I have learned that I can keyload Astro Saber as well as Saber radios with the T3011DX.
What for do I need a KVL 3000? For the XTS 3000 and XTS 5000?!?!

I will get a lot of NTN1158DSP01 encryption modules for the Astro Saber. I guess they are DVI-XL.
With what kind of loader can I load these modules?

A 3011DX will load XTS3000s and XTS5000s as well, but you should read this thread.

All keyloaders from the 30xx series (DX) or the KVL's will load ASTRO radios. The trick is that they have to have the same encyption type in them as what is in your radio. A loader with a DVP in it will not load a DES or DVI equipped radio.

Thanks a lot. I have read the PDF-File.......it´s very good.
I have ordered a complete package on ebay: T30xxD-keyloader, cable, battery, and some DES-XL-modules for Saber & Astro Saber.
I also have 3 modules DVI-XL for the Astro Saber but these require a different KVL

Never mind, I just want to "play" with the encryption stuff, I don´t need it.
