Will the Motorola R-1800 program the eprom for the PUR 5000?

Sure will, as long as you have the correct personality module installed in the 1800/1801. MSF5K module works fine for a TX only PURC.

Personality is termanology I use to describe the combination of the Proms that contain the programmig smarts that plug into the 1800/1801and the plug in socket board for the Prom that you burn that goes in the Purc.

My version is to old to burn the prom for the PURC5000. It will burn the MSF5000 ok. I will have to find some to help with it.

Use your MSF-5K stuff and program the TX Freq and tone and forget everything else. It will work just fine for a PURC.
