Who can fix my Saber III "C1 ERR"

Post by BMWFREQ »

I have a Saber III that has a "C1 ERR" code on the display.

Does anyone out there know who/where I can get the radio repiared?

Thanks in advance-

What radios do you own?: Progreso soup can with CRT

Saber error message...

The book says this should actually read on your display as:

ERR O C1

And the book says further that this indicates the CORE microprocessor
has an internal EEPROM error.

I suggest that you first try reprogramming the radio by dumping in the
original codeplug that you should have saved before you did anything.
Try the reprogramming several times if the first time doesn't fix things.
If you still get the error message then your radio will likely have to go to
the local Motorola shop/dealer for repair. It's also possible that one of
our Board members many be able to jump in to help you out.

BTW, the service data says the letter "C" can be any letter for this
error.
