Can I Update a Saber III CORE from 5D to 6D or 8D?

Post by nc4cg »

Is this something that can be done just thru programming, i.e. like updating a PC's flash rom bios?

Are there any legal issues (don't want to violate any Big M rules ), if I ask the guy at the radio shop to do it will I get into trouble ?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, kinda new at this and trying to figure things out.

Thanks,
Bradley

You can ask the guy at the radio shop - the only way that I know of off hand is to probably swap the controler on the radio.

There's no problem asking a radio shop, but there's not software upgrade for those radios that I have ever heard of.

I would look to buy a Systems Saber, which would get you QCII and all the MDC features IIRC.

The only way to upgrade the Core is swap parts, and it's not worth the effort in my opinion. You only gain some minor features anyway.
