Minitor 5 Amplified Charger

Does anyone know if /\/\ has fixed the problems they were having with the Min 5 amplified chargers?

Steve Carroll of the Minitor V Dept at /\/\ has said the Amp charger has been at UL for approval since early March.It is awaiting approval which may take 4 more weeks or even more.No def date of ship date is set.
Motorola Dealer Support also says the same thing.
I really hope it is a FINAL fix.

Next time that you speak to Mr. Carrol, ask him about housing parts for Minitor 4.
He has promised them for 2 years, but keeps bringing up the lame excuse that it will void UL approval.

or any Minitor IV parts for that matter.I did bring it up and he keeps saying the same as you have gotten.I know quite a few repair techs who are antsy to get dealer level Min IV repairs done.

MV Chargers

Steve sent me 5 amp charger for a customer to beta test for him. So far they are holding up well. Interestingly this same customer also has the standard chargers and have fried 2 batteries with those also.

We were last told next month for the "new and improved" models. As for the MIV, I was told we had to go thru a "special" class for the MIV due to it intrinsicaly safe rating to get the parts. I just want the case as I send out alot just needing the rear cover.
