syntor x9000 head?

syntor x9000 head?

will any head of a syntor x9000 work w/ uhf or vhf...........can i take a head off a uhf set up and hook it to a vhf and the display will work?
in other words are the heads swapable

The control head doesn't know or care what band the radio is on. There are issues associated with swapping trunking and conventional heads, but other than that as long as it has enough buttons you should be in good shape.

What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's

you will have to re program the head after you swap it, that info isn't stored in the radio.
