Syntor control cable pinout info

Post by telemetryguy »

Urgently need help with a UHF syntor (not X or 9000). have the 8 channel rotary knob control head and systems 90, push button type scan head, as well as a third head for DES or DVP, not sure which mode there. The combo does control this radio, even though it was originally on a VHF police syntor, not this UHF. (The UHF radio does NOT have encryption). I need to either make changes to the connections on the two plugs going to the encryption head so i don't have to have it in the way, or find a new control cable that will work with the radio and the control and scan control heads.

Anyone? Anyone? Sure would like to get this radio working.

Thanks.

Here is a standard cable pin out:

The Syntor control heads are different than the Syntor X control heads. It is easy to get the wrong control head.

The DVP head will need a full working DVP setup and cable to go along with it or it will not work.
