Radius radio model info

Post by nysmedic226 »

I have a mobile radio with the label radius on the front and no other name. Ihave tried to search for the model number with little success. I am wondering if I should keep this radio or sell it off as I no longer use the trunked system it was on and with all the change to the 800mhz band will it be any good. Model AXD35LRA5GB6BK

Thanks.

You might find it as a D35LRA5GB6BK. That's a dash-mount (D), 15w (3), 800 MHz (5) radio, Radius product line (LRA). Probably similar to the MaxTrac D35MQA5GB6BK or D35MWA5GB6BK. I'd have to go looking in a book to tell you more about it, like the number of channels and whether it does talk-around or not.

It could be converted to receive the 900 MHz amateur band. Other than that, sell it for between $1 and $50.
