MW520 Radio Modem Reprograming

Is it possible to re-program the radio modem in the MW520 to a different frequency, if not modify it to 900MHZ Ham Band?

Yes, you would need to buy the WinRSS software.

But remember, it is probably useless without and RNC and DBS.

Isn't the radio modem on these just a Spectra 800Mhz radio? I would assume then that it could be programmed with the Spectra RSS. But as for setting it up and using it with the MW520 i have no clue what to do with it.

There isn't an 800 to 900Mhz mod for the Spectra, at least none that i know of anyway. There is a way to modify an 800Mhz Maxtrac into a 900Mhz receiver.
