No offense, dude, but your wiring (especially that rat's nest under the hood) sucks. You need to dress that wiring appropriately (with split loom, etc.) sooner rather than later.

Ya the console was custom made at my uncle's cabnit shop. As for the split wire loom where do you think I can get some at?

Even Wal-Mart sells split loom tubing!

Nice over-all, just need to clean it up and make it look professional with some loom over the wiring. I like how you put the speaker in a cutout in the console. And man there is HT's tucked away everwhere in there! lol

Look at all the antenners on that their roof.. :o

I see you ran power from the AUX battery location. How did you get power into the cabin of the truck from that side of the engine compartment?

On the drivers side of the truck there are about 4 holes through the firewall. 2 of those holes are main power wires that go to the spectra's. One of the other holes has one wire going through it to feed a distribution box. The last hole has 3 wires going through it and they are connected to a toggle switch that provides switched ignition or power all the time to the radios. All those holes are sealed with vaporlok or vaporlock, not sure how you spell it.

If you dont mind could you send me the info on how to make the night profile? I am running SA06 and its a pain when your driving down the road at night especially en route to a call to deal with how bright it is.. Not so bad in the city but in the country its really bad..

SA 2005

Post by WB4JGI »

On SA 2005 go to map display tab and on the left hand side you'll see 3 tabs click on the one that says display and on the map colors drop down box select High-Contrast Colors.

Maybe SA 06 is the same but I'm not sure never worked with it. Hope this helps

SA 06 is the same way. Go to options and select high contrast colors.
