Is there a way to program Maxtrac 300s to return to scan when hung back on mic holder? Or do you have to hit the scan button every time? Mine just stays on the channel after you hang the mic back up, i don't know why. Also, are SM120s capable of scanning? thanks, Farmboy

All of my Maxtracs return to scan one the mic is on the holder. I have never seen the problem you're talking about. Do you have forced monitor on or something? Even then, I don't know why it wouldn't start scanning again.

It doesn't seem to make any difference if the monitor button was on or not. It still hangs on the channel that it was on when the mic was off the holder. Its a UHF model if that matters...Maybe someone programmed it to do this??? I was hoping there was a way to make it normal again..

We have one at my PD that does the same thing. It is a very early Maxtrac. We were told thats the way they were made. To get it to go back into scan we need to replace the logic board with a new one which the PD won't pay for.

I have two that do the same thing. They have the "masked" logic board and the only selection I could get to work for 16ch was "maxtrac 300" when blanking/initializing.
If you have a logic board with an eprom, you should be able to change the eprom to a newer version (and blank/initialize)....
