Question about Motorola HT1000

Question about Motorola HT1000

OK this may sound like a weird question but I have a Motorola HT1000 and I want to put a identifier on it that sounds like the LAPD identifiers....any one know what I'm talking about????? And how do I do it???? Thanks.

If your talking about MODAT, your out of luck. That radio series is not capable of that feature.

He may also be asking about MDC through RSS, and if so, then yes, you can....look under the SIGNALLING options and enter your preferred sequence of four numbers.

Then you should be able to select PRE/POST/BOTH as to 'when' your MDC will be transmitted.

If you select 'PRE' you will be able to enter a 'PRE-TIME (delay) that delays the actual MDC (ANI) information so it can pass through a repeater and then ultimately be decoded by the receiving radio.

If you set no delay(pre-time) then the MDC will transmit as soon as you key the radio and will probably be recognized as invalid data to the receiving station and NOT be decoded.

Most RSS will have a preset pre-time of 300 mS, so you should be fine if you don't enter anything.
