Can Someone help me decode these model #'s. I am looking for ones that do Type II trunking.

So many STX's have had their controllers swapped out that it's not exactly pointless to decode the model number, but it's close.

It's much more useful to find out what the radio's controller type is. If it's a radio with a display, you can put it into selftest mode and read the controller revision right on the radio's display. If it's a non display radio, you have to read that data via the RSS.

Any controller type beginning with VER is ONLY capable of type I trunking. All others can handle type II. REL, GPL, and GPS series controllers are also secure capable.

That information is clearly shown on Batlabs in the model specific information section under STX. The diagrams there will show you.
