Hi all!
I want to know about hardware/schematic differencies between US and EMEA Professional Series radios - CDM (for e.g. 750/1250/1550 not LS, LS, LS+ & etc.) and GM (for e.g. 140/160/340/360/380/660/680/1280 & etc.).
I know that some differencies exist, for e.g.: CPU and antenna connector (miniUHF instead of BNC on NMEA radios). But I think that complete list is larger.
I you know anything about hardware/schematic differencies, please share you knowledge here!

- What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's
the ls radios are trunking radios and can only do 16 or 18 conventional channels. the regular ht's can do 16, 128, and 160 channels. here in the us we use quick call for paging so that's the option in the ht's, overseas uses 5 tone so that's what you find in the gp's. some of those gp's have 250 channels. the pro 7150 and 5150's are the closest to our 1250's and 750's. the same goes for cdm's and gm's. some of the gm's have a full keypad on the radio tho that our cdm1550's don't have.

the radios are the same if you took all of the stickers and numbers off of them. the difference is in the firmware, that's where the band limits and options are permanently set for each radio.

You are not exactly right. I know that some Professional Series radios works wrong after uploading firmware from some other Professional Series models.HLA wrote:the radios are the same if you took all of the stickers and numbers off of them. the difference is in the firmware, that's where the band limits and options are permanently set for each radio.

Connector type is not an issue; for example GM950 and GM600 have BNC while LCS200 has mini-UHF.
About the CPU, some radios have the cpu marked as a commercial item while others use the Motorola markings.
I'm not sure about the Pro series as right now I don't have any of these handy.
