Maratrac volume problems

Maratrac volume problems

I have a VHF MaraTrac that the receive audio goes away and will only come back if power is cycled. What is causing this?

I had one that did this and it was a speaker that was too low of an impedance.

And or a ground on one of the speaker leads.

You did not tell us which configuration you have???? A5, clamshel or advanced head.

C551 on the logic board is a weak point in these radios (maxtrac,radius,gm300,maratrac).
It could be flakey.
