SP10 UHF 6 channel DIP Switch Settings Needed

Post by K5MAR »

OK, another bit on the (behind) eBay deal. I thought I was getting a couple of SP10 VHF radios, instead I got UHF. These thing are marked on top as having 4 channels, but the selector has 6 positions. These radios have the usual DIP switch block underneath the battery, but I can't figure out what the settings for them is. By default, the radios seem to have 4 of the usual business channels, the first four channels are different, and channel 5 the same as 1, and 6 the same as 2, thats with all the switchs in the down/off position. Trying a couple at random, it seems to change the radio channels, 1,3,5 are the same freq; 2,4,6 are a different freq, in esence giving me a six channel, two freq radio.

These radios say Radius SP10, model number is P24RRC23F2BA.

Can anybody tell me what settings do what on the DIP switch? These radio have the PL option, and are in good condition, so I'd really like to know what they can do.

Thanks,

You have a 6 position channel switch ? If so you've got some sort of mix and match radio, SP10's don't have external channel switches, just the internal DIP's.

Yeah, that's the problem, nothing on that chart matches these radios. They're certainly different from anything I've seen before. I'm hoping that somebody here has, though. They're clean-looking radios, if they've been modded, it was a professional job.
