98 Ranger - need custom bracket

Post by W2IRT »

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to find a simple mounting solution to hold two mobile radios (small ICOM mobile and a BC-780 scanner) on the transmission hump of a '98 Ford Ranger (manual tranny, not automatic). I don't need this to be a showpiece install, nor do I think I need a full console, etc (overkill for what the truck is). Any idea where I can find an appropriate bracket? I'd like to have both radios held in a near-vertical position and at finger-tip level.

Also, any idea if there's a good shop around that could do this and pop a couple of NMOs in for me in northeast New Jersey (Essex County)?

Thanks in advance. I've had NO luck in 3 weeks of looking!

Try B&C Communications up in Waldwick. http://www.bccommunicationsinc.com/ They've done good work for us.
