MT 1500

I want to get a MT 1500, two questions i have,,,one is does the mt 1500 come without a display??. the second question, is the mt 1500 available at the present time.

Yes the MT1500 comes without a display. The MT1500 is identical to the PR1500. The difference is that the MT1500 is a trunking radio that can be ordered with conventioanl software. The PR1500 can only be ordered as conventional with the possibility of a P25 flash upgrade later. Both are available at present.

I heard something about there being a lowband model. Is this true? I saw a Motorola spec sheet, but it didn't list a lowband model, just VHF/UHF/800. Thoughts?

I've never heard of low-band trunking, so I doubt they would make a low-band capable model.

wait for model 1.5 MT1500.It will have a 4/12 display.
If you want or need a diplay.
It will be avail in VHF/UHF and 700/800,either conventional or trunking on the 700/800.
My MT1500 sounds just as good as PR1500 does.
