I have the software for most motorola radios. I have uploaded the program for the GP300 and run it in DOS mode like it should be. The program starts up fine and the radio beeps when you do a com check and says successful. When I try to read the radio or do anything else with it...it says that the software doesn't support it and I need to insert disc 2?? Anyone have this problem or know a way around it so that I can can program this radio?
thanks!!!

gp300 programming problem
Lieutenent for Howell Twsp First Aid and Rescue Squad #1
It sounds like you are running an older version of the GP300 RSS, and it doesn't recognize your radio model. SInce it can't find it in it's own .mdf file, it is asking for disk #2, as that's where the .mdf file data resides for set-up. What version are yuo running?

That is during install of the software...his is already installed & is asking for the disk after trying to read the radio.MITYTONE wrote:The experience i've had is that that when you're asked for disk #2, you have to insert the same disk the press enter for the entire software to be installed..I think this is due to the fact that The old version was contained on 2 disks instead of one.

- What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's
another diagnosis it that your radio has been hacked by another version of rss and your version don't recognize the number of channels it's supposed to have or it's been hacked out of band.
