cm140 help needed URGENT

cm140 help needed URGENT

HI ALL

need little help

Friend of mine popped over Few Motorola cm140 for me to add a freq to.

I thought it used the same cable as the GM300 so asked him to supply the software and I do the rest.

he bought the software and now I feel Like a FOOL as I cant programe them as its a different cable to be used....

Can any one give me the pinout for the mic socket or the pins used for programming so I may makeup a mic to rib cable

need all your help to pull me out this

As far as I know, the cm140 has not been sold in the States.
I'm going to make a couple of assumptions which may or may not be correct:
1. You're in the UK or Australia.
2. The cm140 *may* be the UK/Australian version of the CM200, i.e. limited channel capability, single digit LED display, 8 pin mic socket, etc.

If the above assumptions are true, the programming cable for the CM140 is likely identical to the one for the CM200/300 that's sold here in the States. Additionally, if you do a search here using CM200 or CM300 as keywords, I believe you'll find what you're looking for. If you don't find what you need, repost and I'll look up my schematic for my Mot CM200/300 cable.

Hi Guys

still need help

can anyone confirm the correct pinout for this radio?

is it the same as the 200 or 300?

as I just vant get any cable to read it

I got my gm300 cable and shorted the second from last pin to the last pin 8 as told with no joy

PLEASE HELP

The CM200 & 300 cable is wired as follows from M:
The RJ45 is 10 way with the pin numbering as follows looking at the conductor side of the connector from the topside with the cable exit toward you: 10(on the far righthand side),1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, and 9 on the far left. Pin 1 & 3 have a 1kohm resistor across them. RIB gnd(pin 1 on RIB) to pin 4 on RJ45. Pin 4 on RIB end linked to pin 13 on RIB end. Pin 12 on RIB end tied to pin 1 on RJ45 end. Pin 15 on RIB end tied to pin 7 on RJ45 end. And finally(you don't need this for only programming) pin 25 on RIB end tied to pin 6 on RJ45 end - this is the boot control line. The RIB end is a 25 way DB style connector.
That's the way it is for the CM series sold here in the States, Dave. I would expect the CM140 to be the same.

hi all

still no luck with this radio

have tried moding the gm300 cable with no luck

can anyone confirm the cm140 is same as cm200 / 300/ 400
