I got a new case cover for a ht1000, and am trying to separate the pieces out of the old one. How in the heck do you get the jedi port/speaker mic terminal thing off?

The new one came with the ext connectors, but I need the board that the ribbon cable is tied to to connect it.

Thanks

You can use a screwdriver, just be careful how hard your press and where. If I recall, you should be able to gently slide it out of the case and into the new one.

Looking for p/n of chassis opener / case removal tool for JEDI (in particular for MTS2000).

Try search in Internet, parts list and other papers, but nothing...

All you need is a small size flathead screwdriver.

Pull the antenna, knobs and battery off. Then slid the screwdriver into the slot on the back of the radio at the bottom between the black metal and plastic and GENTLY pry the metaql part upward.

DONT pull the whole thing apart all at once as there is an amber colored flex cable that needs to be disconnected. Do that and your all set.
