HT1250 PROBLEM

Post by jmr3865 »

MY BATTERY METER WILL NOT COME ON ON MY HT1250. WHAT WOULD BE CAUSING THIS? I TRIED ANOTHER BATTERY AND THAT ONE WORKED.

did you do a search? this has been covered many times. Mostly do to firmware issues with this radio.
Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Same thing happened to me. Turned out it to be the battery.

there is a chip in the battery that sends this information to the radio itself. If that chip goes bad, or the radio can't read it for whatever reason, you won't get the fancy meter.

I know with the 1550's this was/is an issue and people had to send the batteries back to the manufacture.

The battery will sill work as usual, just no meter.
