OK, I know this topic had been posted in the past, but i cannot find the info anymore.
I have a VHF MSR2000 with the continuous duty PA. two of the final transistors (M1134) have let the smoke out.
Does anyone know of a suitable replacement? Somewhere, i have an email that suggests 2N6096 (PNP "30W", according to RF Parts).
I'm also suspect of the drivers (M1133)... i'm looking for a cross on these as well.
Are ANY of these interchangeable with an M9624? I have a handfull of these around, and it would save me a little money IF they were suitable replacements... I don't know what RF Parts charges for matched sets, but it's at least worth checking.

There's Good News and Bad News on these /\/\ PNP RF Transistors. Here's the Good News:
The original /\/\9624 became the /\/\1134 - 4 Required
The original /\/\9623 became the /\/\1133 - 2 Required
The original /\/\9622 became the /\/\1132 - 1 Required
The original /\/\9621 became the /\/\1131 - 1 Required
And now for the Bad News, the mysterious "someone" in the National Parts Department or otherwise known A.A.D. for purchasing semiconductors blew it when they did the "Last Time Buy" for stock in 1992 and only purchased the /\/\1131, /\/\1132 and /\/\1133 devices. This internal /\/\ purchasing agent claimed that they did not know the MICOR and MSR2000 used the /\/\ 1134 RF Final Transistors in VHF Series RF Power Amplifiers.
When /\/\ Semiconductors received that "Last Time Buy" order in 1992 for the PNP RF Transistors they ordered the MOLD for the /\/\ 1134 devices to be immediately destroyed. And after full filling the order for the /\/\ 1131, /\/\ 1132 and /\/\ 1133 RF devices, destroy the 3 other MOLDS.
As an alternative suggestion, when you start running low on the /\/\ 9624 devices, start looking for VHF Micor RF PA boards at the Hamfests for the required transistors.
