R.I.C.K. question

I built a repeater using two CDM1250 mobiles a HLN3333B R.I.C.K. controller ,a vocom 100 watt amp and a telewave 6 cavity duplexer (460 MHz).
I can't seem to find a way to adjust the transmitter delay when COR/CTSS is detected. It cuts off the first syllable everytime. You can listen to the receiver radio and hear the mobiles talk in with absolutely no delay or chopped words.
But listen to the repeated audio on a portable or mobile and the first syllable of every transmission is cut. The COR light activates immediately when you hear receive audio. But the transmitter seems to lag about split second.
I have tried using both DPL and TPL and just CSQ, all do the same.
I tried the and/or, and standard muting, same results. I even tried the using and not using the reverse burst, no different.
Is there a sensitivity adjustment in the RICK controller.
Or is there a squelch gate problem in the receive radio?? I wouldn't think that was the problem based on listening to the receiver radio.
I can't find an adjustment in the the PTT of the transmit radio, that is what makes me think it is the controller.
Any suggestions.

This isn't a transmitter problem, it's a user education problem. Many systems, both console/remote, base station, and repeaters, as well as some plain 'ol handhelds, have SOME delay on TX

Educate yourself, and the users, to delay speech 1/2-1 second.

there is also an inherent delay on the RX side of your repeater. It needs a little time to decode the PL and open the squelch gate before passing audio & COR to the transmitting radio.

I agree with 440roadrunner - the users need to give the system a chance to "warm up" before speaking. This is true for most any repeater based system (no matter how expensive).
