MCS2000 Model III 800 Mhz programming question

Post by Max »

I picked up a MCS2000 800Mhz Model III off ebay ,using MCS2000 RSS Ver-05.04.10 April 14/2000,i get C/P too new.I then read the radio with the new CPS,under Programming information, its says it was last programmed Aug 12/03 using Source-DOS RSS,so i am guessing the older version of RSS was used to program the radio.I don't want to write anything to it yet,i understand if you try to program the radio using the wrong RSS ,it will kill the radio.
Based on the last time it was programmed,i'm guessing i would need a newer verion of RSS.I would perfer to keep the radio using the older version of RSS.
Is there a newer version of RSS for 2003,without having to use the newer CPS?
Thanks in advance for any input.
